The Future of our Servers: Part 2 [New Hardware]

Ok I'm sorry but this has to be said. If someone wants to know who posted something, all they had to do is look to the left of the post and read your name. Sorry if this offends you but it is true.

We allow pre-defined signatures on the board.

Why is a signature creating so much hype? This is like the 3rd time in the past few days I've had someone say something about it...

Edit:

@ Blandest
That would make sense.  I don't see the need for senseless trolling on the forums though.  Is it really necessary to post about someones signature?  And is it really that hard to see that it is just a signature and that is all it is? I'll stop using it if it really is that big of a deal to some people, but I just think it makes my posts look nice. :)

People complaining about it ups their post counts.

Also, posting about people upping their post counts ups my post count.

Smart people call that "projecting"

Hope I didn't offend you with that. My whole thing wasn't against signatures, in fact I didn't even realize it was your signature. Most forums have a well defined area for signatures. It just bugged me a but that you literally put your name twice on every post, I didn't realize that it was automatic.

Back on topic: Sweet. Can't wait.

Just realized I overlooked this, actually signatures are turned off... I've been on SMF forums in the past and the option to have it preset is turned off.

Server Update:

It is built - Spack received the new "non-broken" memory, slapped it in and booted it up for some initial testing.  We seem to be good to go! It will be in the datacenter early next week, and then we will start stress testing and all that good stuff.
